I feel this way because the unemployment rate for blacks is so disproportionate. While I appreciate many things that Pres. Obama has done, this is the one thing that continues to bother me about him. I don't say this because I am black, and he "owes" me a favor. But, because this is a valid issue that deserves direct attention just like immigration, dadt, and other vet issues. I understand that he may reluctant to mention it for fear of being accused of being biased, and giving special preference. However, by not openly addressing it, the same is true. I also understand that there may be things being done to address the problem, but not being said. But, that's unacceptable. I want the President to be brave enough to make it a direct priority.
