Unfortunately, our society at present doesn't place much value on the lives of individuals like these - Remember Amadou Diallo, who was shot down in NYC ? Our society considers them disposable,,,,sad but true. Look at our wars overseas.. nameless faces...collateral damage in the name of progress. Until we recognize that all peoples have value, regardless of their color, class, religious or ethnic backgrounds, we will never rise up over that racist, classist disdain. We need our media to start regarding each life as precious, and hopefully the trickle down effect will take place. Peace.
