There's a lot of history to be learned by looking at the names of our neighborhood schools. Myrtilla Miner is close to my house so I remember that... a leader in education. I picked upa book on the African-American history of the United States... the title was something like that, my wording is very awkward. It seemed like every few pages I was hitting a name I recognized, not because it was a household name, but because some school in DC is named after that person.
