I love seeing people step up and step in-- although I completely understand and sympathize with anyone who doesn't feel comfortable or safe in doing so. Still, after over a decade of riding the metro and watching as everyone puts their head down when young/people start acting up, I was determined to write this story...the "Man from Metro" deserves it, and it's a good reminder to all of us that there are still some WMATA employees and neighbors who are great at their jobs, who still care. I love hearing about people who step in when these kids act up. That's exactly why they behave the way they do, because there are no consequences for their bad behavior. Glad to know this Metro employee's not only looking out for Metro's riders, but for the kids of his community as well. Wow, what a story!
